EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. In essence, it is a kind of “acupressure” tapping on certain spots on your body that helps release negative emotions stored in it. This technique can help reduce stress, anxiety, physical pain, and more. It has been used in clinical settings and by people who want to bring more balance into their lives.
How Does EFT Tapping Help Reduce Stress?
When you start feeling overwhelmed with work or life in general, worry can build up inside of you until it feels like a heavyweight tugging at your chest or throat. That’s why EFT tapping is such a powerful tool; it allows you to control those worrisome thoughts and feelings from your body by gently tapping, releasing specific points around your head and body while repeating simple statements that reframe how you think about the situation.
For example, if you feel guilty about taking time off from work and focusing on yourself, tap around your forehead, saying, "even though I am feeling guilty about taking this time off from work, I deeply and completely accept myself.” This statement helps reframe how you think about taking time off because it acknowledges that it is okay, even if you feel guilty about it. Over time, repeated use of EFT tapping will help reduce or even eliminate these negative feelings altogether!
Taking care of yourself should be a priority, so don't feel guilty if you want to take some much-needed "me" time! EFT tapping can help reduce stress levels so that you can let go of the workweek guilt and have some fun during the weekend while still achieving success in all areas of your life.
