FAQs

The most important question to ask your practitioner is, “ Have you done your OWN inner work.?”
Nobody wants to work with someone painfully perfect.
I’m a fellow traveler just like you. I’ve been divorced, struggled with infertility, become a step-mom, experienced profound loss with the sudden death of my Mom and Brother, and I’ve had cancer twice.
Yup, I’ve experienced a lot of the worst things a person can face, and I’m thriving. That isn’t an accident.
I’ve done my inner work and learned the skills I can teach you.
I learned because I worked with my own Relational Life Therapist, AND I have worked with some TERRIBLE therapists. I know what a waste of time that is.
This is the most critical question to ask your practitioner. Have you done your work? Do you continue to do the work?
If the answer isn’t ‘Yes,’ find someone else.

Traditional couples therapy may fail to yield results due to its heavy reliance on impartiality. This means the behaviors harming relationships often aren’t addressed, so couples can’t make the necessary changes. Like other therapies, Relational Life Therapy teaches relationship skills, but first, we deal with the part of you that doesn't want to use them.
Our work seamlessly integrates individual and couple treatment into one therapy to empower you to continue building authentic connections for life. description

Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a cutting-edge, results-driven approach designed to transform relationships quickly and effectively. Unlike traditional therapy, which often focuses on introspection and gradual change over time, RLT dives straight into the heart of relational dynamics. It identifies unhelpful patterns, teaches practical tools for connection, and emphasizes direct, compassionate communication. By addressing the core issues with precision and clarity, RLT fosters breakthroughs that create lasting change in a fraction of the time, empowering couples to rebuild trust, intimacy, and understanding with tangible, actionable steps.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) focuses on exploring and healing the different "parts" of an individual, fostering self-awareness and internal harmony. Relational Life Therapy (RLT), on the other hand, centers on the dynamics between partners, helping couples recognize and shift patterns that harm their connection. While IFS is deeply introspective and individual-focused, RLT is direct, results-oriented, and relationship-focused, offering practical tools to create immediate and lasting improvements in relational health. Both are powerful, but RLT excels in rapidly transforming the way partners relate to and support each other.

-
The number of sessions you need will depend on your unique goals and the pace at which you want to work. Kendall will co-create a personalized schedule at the end of your first session that fits your needs and lifestyle. Typically, clients engage in therapy for about 6-12 sessions, or 3 to 6 months, to achieve meaningful, lasting results. However, this timeline is flexible, and we will adjust as needed based on your progress and the depth of work you'd like to do.

While Relational Life Therapy (RLT) focuses on transforming relationship dynamics, Kendall also offers Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as a complementary specialty.
