What breaks my heart about Modern Motherhood?

Ladies, we need to have a little chat.

You're out here trying to do it all: be a great wife, a top-performing employee, a loving mother, and an excellent cook, all while maintaining your sanity. But at what cost?

Your physical and mental health, that's what.

It's time to stop being a supermom and start prioritizing your needs. Yes, you heard that right. Taking care of yourself isn't selfish; it's an act of love for yourself and your family.

Let's start by acknowledging the fact that we mommies ( and step-mommies 🙋‍♀️) tend to put ourselves last on the list of priorities. We give everything we have to our partners, our children, and our work and often end up burnt out, stressed out, and feeling guilty for not being good enough. But guess what? You are already doing an excellent job, and it's time to start celebrating that. ( Reread that last sentence )

Now, let's talk about the effects of neglecting yourself.

It's not just about feeling overwhelmed and drained; it's also about physical health. Stress, lack of sleep, and unhealthy eating habits can lead to diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and depression. And the worst part is that these conditions can impact your whole family. So, why not take care of yourself so we can all be healthy and happy?

It's time to shift your perspective and focus on mindfulness, self-care, and self-love. Instead of running around multitasking all day, take some time for yourself. Meditate, read a book, or take a relaxing bath. Whatever you choose, make it a non-negotiable part of your schedule. You might have no idea where to start. No sweat. That is why The Deep Center exists! You can join busy women like you in That Tapping Society or work one on one with Kendall Carriere and get Rapid Results.

Now, I know what you are thinking- "I don't have time for self-care." But let's flip that narrative. If you can find time to binge-watch Real Housewives of some city (guilty) or mindlessly scroll through your Insta feed, you can certainly devote some minutes to self-care. Try to reframe this as a priority rather than something optional.

Lastly, let's remember that our children learn from us. As role models, we need to set an example of self-love and care for them. Showing them how to take care of yourself is a gift that will last a lifetime.

In conclusion, mommies, it's time to prioritize yourself, your health, and your well-being. Put "me time" on your to-do list, and make it a non-negotiable part of your routine.

Remember that you are doing an incredible job already and that taking care of yourself is not selfish. Embrace the concept of self-love and show your children how to lead healthy, balanced lives. Say goodbye to supermom status and hello to prioritizing yourself because, in the end, that's the best thing you can do for your family.
