Reclaim your power after a Breast Cancer diagnosis.

You hear the words “you have cancer” and your life changes in an instant. You are suddenly faced with a situation that you never imagined, and don’t know where to turn. But you can reclaim your power after a breast cancer diagnosis. Here are five steps to help you get started.

1. Understand that you are not your diagnosis - you are much more than that.

2. Seek out support from friends and family, as well your sisters at The Deep Center. We have an internal community board ( like a private Facebook group ) just for us to support each other.

3. Make time for yourself to do the things you enjoy. Read, Rest, Pray. What gives you joy? Do more of that.

4. Connect with other women who have gone through a similar experience.

5. Allow yourself to feel whatever emotions come up - anger, sadness, fear, etc.

6. Take care of your body by eating healthy foods and getting enough exercise. We set up The Deep Center classes so you can filter by your energy level. If you are feeling like you are in a slump, just stretch and get back in your body. Every bit counts.

After a breast cancer diagnosis, it can be difficult to know where to turn for help. But you are not alone. Many resources are available to help you reclaim your power and begin the healing process. We hope that this article has been helpful and that you will consider sharing The Deep Center with someone struggling. We are better together.
