The Books I'm Reading Right Now About Breast Cancer

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2020; since then, I have been on a mission to learn everything I can about the disease. Here are three books I'm reading right now that I recommend to any breast cancer patients or thriver out there.

The first book I would recommend is "The Miracle Morning: The not-so-obvious secret guaranteed to change your life by Hal Elrod. This book has literally changed my life and my outlook on what is possible in my life. Start here.

The second book I recommend is "Cancer Husband: How to Help Your Wife (and Yourself) Through Diagnosis, Treatment, and Beyond" by Marc Silver. This book is written by a man whose wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is a great resource for caregivers and loved ones who want to learn how to best support a breast cancer patient.

The third book I would recommend is "The First Year: Breast Cancer" by Julia Harris Dornbush. This book is a month-by-month guide for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. It covers everything from self-care to treatment options to emotional support. I found this book to be very helpful in navigating the early days after my diagnosis.

If you are a breast cancer patient or survivor, I hope you will find these books as helpful and informative as I have. Educate yourself about your disease and treatment options, and remember that you are not alone in this fight.

I see you. I am you.
