New Year's Resolutions for the Anxious Woman
It's that time of year again!
Time to reflect on the past year and set some goals for the coming one. If you're like me, you've probably already started thinking about what you want to change or improve in your life. But if you're also like me, you may be feeling a little overwhelmed by the prospect of making all those changes.
That's why I've compiled a list of New Year's resolutions that are specifically tailored for the anxious woman.
These are resolutions that I have personally found to be helpful in managing my anxiety and improving my overall wellbeing. So if you're feeling a little overwhelmed by the prospect of making changes this year, take a deep breath and read on!
1. Get more sleep: This is probably the most common New Year's resolution out there, but it's also one of the most important! Getting enough sleep is crucial for managing anxiety and keeping your mind and body healthy. If you're not getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night, make it a priority in the coming year. You'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel! Need Help? Try out one of our Meditation or Tapping Classes for Sleep.
2. Eat healthy: Eating a healthy diet is another important factor in managing anxiety and maintaining your health. Make an effort to eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and cut back on processed foods and sugary drinks. Your anxiety will thank you!
3. Exercise: Duh! Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and improve your overall mood. Even if you don't think of yourself as "the exercising type," there are plenty of ways to get moving at The Deep Center. Just find something that you enjoy and make it a part of your routine!
4. Set aside time for relaxation: In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and forget to take some time for yourself. But relaxation is crucial for managing anxiety and keeping your mind and body healthy. Make sure to set aside some time each day – even if it's just 10-15 minutes – to do something that you enjoy with no distractions. Read a book, take a bath, or just sit quietly and breathe deeply.
Making New Year's resolutions can be daunting, especially if you're struggling with anxiety. But it doesn't have to be!
By choosing resolutions that are specifically tailored for the anxious woman, you can set yourself up for success in the coming year. So what are you waiting for?
